Title: Full and Truncated moment problems through recursive sequences
Abstract: We are interested in studying the full and truncated moment problems, Notably the closed link between the 1 dimentional truncated moment problem and Gen- eralized Fibonacci sequence for the recursive sequence. Afterward, we extend the idea to the real 2 dimentional moment problem by bound the bi-indexed Fibonacci sequence. The analytic expression and the combinatorial formulas of Generalized Fibonacci are used as tools to obtain both the combinatorial expression of the terms moment matrix and its associated measure. Furthermore, we study also the moment problem for the recursive sequence with periodic coefficientss. A linearization pro- cess through the product of companion matricies allows us to generate subsequences satisfying a linear recurrence relation, with constant coefficients. A relevant ques- tion is whether there is link between the moment problem for a recursive sequence of periodic coefficients of period p≥1, and the moment problem of its related p recursive subsequences of constant coefficients. To answer this question, a detailed study is conducted in the case when the period p = 2. New results related to their moment problem are established and some open questions have been raised.
