Biography
Dr. Hadis Karimipour University of Guelph, Canada
Biography: HADIS KARIMIPOUR received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2016. She was recipient of the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II scholarship in 2014 and 2015. Before joining the University of Guelph, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Calgary working on anomaly detection and security analysis of the smart power grids. She is currently the director of SCPS Lab and an Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario. Her research interests include power system analysis, cyber-physical modeling, cyber-security of the smart grids, and parallel and distributed computing. She is a member of the IEEE and IEEE Computer Society. She serves as the Chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) and chapter chair of IEEE Information Theory in the Kitchener-Waterloo section.
