| 标题： Optimal method of biological data mining | |
| 摘要： With the rapid development of biotechnology, a huge amount of biological data has been produced. Obtaining various kinds of information relative to evolution of species from these massive biological data is highly challenging. On the other hand, the rapid development of computer technology has provided powerful computing capabilities and computing resources for scientific research of these big data, making it a reality to use computing methods to study life sciences. In this talk, I will introduce some applications of graph and combinatorial optimization methods to the field of big data science in biomedical community, and focus on the design and implementation of algorithms for solving biomedical problems. | |
| 简介： He received his PhD degree from Institute of Mathematics and System Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, in 1996; and became a full professor of Shandong University in 2000. He was employed as a researcher at the Software Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2004 to 2005, and a senior research scientist at the University of Georgia, USA, in 2006. He returned to Shandong University full-time in 2012. His research interests involve graph theory, combinatorial optimization, computer algorithms and bioinformatics. | |
