Biography: 
Ana M. A. Neves received her first and master degree both in Mathematics and from University of Porto, Portugal. She holds a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering since 2012 and her thesis was awarded by Federación Iberoamericana de Ingeniería Mecánica (FEIBIM) as the best PhD thesis on Mechanical Engineering in the Ibero-american area in the period from 1 January 2011 until 31 December 2012. Since 2008 she teaches Mathematics (Linear Algebra, Calculus, Computer Programming …) to several Engineering Courses at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, Portugal. In 2013/2014 was a Leverhulme Research Fellow at Faculty of Technology, Design and Environment Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, United Kingdom. In 2015 was a Visiting Professor at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. She is also Editor of 4 Scientific International Journals, has organized 6 International Conferences and has integrated the Scientific Committee of many International Conferences. Her research has been focused on numerical methods applied to mathematical modelling and computational simulations of mechanical engineering problems.
